Occupational Medicine

What is Occupational Medicine?

Occupational Medicine (OM or OccMed) is the branch of clinical medicine concerned with occupational health. The goal of occupational medicine is to keep people well while in the workplace by advising about on-site safety, practicing injury and disease prevention, conducting fitness for work assessments, and guiding rehabilitation for workers who became ill or injured on the job so they can recover and return to work quickly.

A+ OccMed Services for employers and employees

A+ OccMed Care provides business owners and their employees with comprehensive occupational medicine services. With convenient and affordable A+ Urgent Care services for minor on-the-job injuries, workers’ compensation case management, medical specialist availability, and convenient in-house capabilities, A+ works hard to keep both employers and employees successful and productive.

Our professional A+ Providers are well-qualified to administer pre-employment physicals, handle workers’ compensation cases and regulations, and provide targeted wellness, prevention, and modified duty programs to give businesses and employees customized, affordable and attentive care.

With the exception of minor work-related injuries and illnesses that can be promptly addressed by our A+ Urgent Care walk-in clinic, appointments are preferred for a number of A+ OccMed Care services.

We also offer after-hours, on-call drug and alcohol testing 7 days a week and can provide an immediate reasonable suspicion, post accident or random Drug and/or Alcohol Test either on-site or at our clinic.

To reach an A+ OccMed Care Certified Technician after-hours for Drug and/or Alcohol Testing call 775-296-DRUG (3784).
